Armistice Day (Veteran’s Day)

Veterans Day is one day that is very important to me since I am a veteran. I proudly served my country for about 12 years. I’ve been deployed to Iraq. Which, yes it was stressful and at times it was scary. Even though I worked as a Supply Specialist (92A) and never left base, it was still hard. We got hit by mortar rounds so much that we actually go use to it. Seemed like it became a “normal” part of our everyday routine. Some things that would come to m mind would be: where and when will the next one hit, will anyone get hurt, will we lose anyone, and will we all make it home. I am proud to be a veteran. I am proud to have served my country and the Red, White and Blue.
